I have a sears air compressor that blew the head gasket. I have a new gasket but do not know the correct torque to apply to the head bolts. The bolts are metric M6's (about 1/4 inch bolt size). They are screwed into the body and use lock washers under the bolt heads. I suspect these loosened somewhat to allow the gasket to blow. Would anyone venture a guess as to the torque on these bolts. Also, could I use lock tite to help secure them? Thanks in advance!!!
