No worries Dave! I just couldn't understand why you'd call me a “Johnny come lately” to this thread. Later while I was mowing the pasture it hit me, you must have been talking to trucker.
When we first moved out here, before my shop was built, and I had a place to set up all my equipment which was stored in my Dad's barn I needed a compressor bad. My 220-volt, 5-horse, 80-gallon 160-PSI air compressor was still in my Dad's barn, and I didn't have the power to run it anyway. I ran to Home Depot and bought a 120-volt Husky compressor. Low and behold the tank had a leak in the weld in the bottom where the drain plug is. Instead of dealing with Home Depot for a return I just picked it up with the tractor, took the die grinder, feathered an in & out ramp, took some 3/32-inch 7018 and welded up the leak, which was lack of fusion in the factory weld. After my shop was built and everything brought here, I gave my Dad that Husky compressor, still working fine no leaks, and that was 10-years ago.
BUT! That was a brand new tank, not a rusted out piece of crap.

Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o
