That's a Gilson-built Montgomery Ward Squire 16; I've got one that's hydrostatic drive (GIL 33160c S/N 47X96136) and one that's gear drive with three speeds. The data plate --which is an aluminium plate that is tabbed through the parallel horizontal holes above your right foot as you sit on the tractor-- is missing on mine, too. I haven't been able to find a manual in several years of looking. I think that Gilson was bought by Agrifab some years ago. The two that I have were built in the seventies and still run. The gear drive model will bury a 10" plow in very rocky soil. I've used the hydrostatic tractor to pull my 2-ton dumptruck across the pasture... They're as heavily built as a Cub Cadet; I wouldn't take for mine.
