Best running on lube oil I heard was at Harper Detroit Diesel in Toronto about 40 years ago. The apprentice mechanic cleaned out the dual oil bath air cleaners. He finished service , started up the truck and gave the throttle a snort before backing out of the shop.. The engine ran away so the mechanic engaged the clutch and hit the brakes while turning the steering wheel to full lock. Fortunately the yard was clear and nothing was run over. Next time the apprentice filled the oil cups to the full line instead of to the very top.
