Hi Rooster , I had two Oliver "70" tractors in the past , along with 2 or 3 parts tractors. I know the one had 6 speeds forward and 1 reverse. There was another spot in the double "H" gear shift pattern where the operator could pull and hold the shifting lever back , causeing the tractor to back up. But that wasn't really considered a reverse. The second it was not held back in that position , it would pop out of gear. And if I remember right , that would not even work under load. And the other Oliver "70" was a 4 speed. I believe that is how it was. One was a 6 speed. And the other was a 4 speed. Both had one reverse.
