I have a old style 1948 Oliver 88 and it does have the freeze plugs and also the two bolt hubs on back. I have been told some dealers put the new sheet metal on the older style ones to make them look like the new style. Remember too that the old style sheet metal is different and very hard to find so it possible with a tractor over 65 years old that someplace along the line the sheet metal was damaged so they put the new style on it. Do you have band brakes on it?
