Just bought a 1949 Oliver 77 Row Crop. It does not have a generator installed at this time but I"m going to convert to negative ground 12 volt system with a single wire Delco S10 alternator. I do have two Oliver generators that came off an industrial 88 and another 77 but they both need work so I"m just going to replace all the wiring, cables, etc. I plan on keeping the engine side panels so I"m wondering if I will have enough space to install the Delco alternator? Has anyone done this conversion and kept the side panels? I am also going to add electronic ignition module, hot coil, new 12 volt lights, aux power module, etc. Any recommendations on best Electronic Module for Olivers? Any help appreciated.
