my favorite was my 99 670HO, it really gave the 800 cats and pols. fits on the long lakes in Canada. got 10,000 miles on that baby before I had to rebuild the engine. my last sled was a 2006 mach z with the 07 tune and clutching. that was one go fast sled. If you use the super 77 crank you can stroke it 1/4" by offset grinding to 2"journal, you can use your stock 77 rods, rebuild them first, use your 77 head and install 880 or 550 valves which ever are the biggest and do a good port and polish job. but don't get too carried away or you will hit water. try to get an intake from a 1550-55 then get a good size carb. I use a USX37 marvel schebler on mine. once you choose your carb you can find a pipe and flange at NAPA to match your new carb., then cut the flange off the bottom of the intake and bore it out to accept the new flange pipe. after you get the new flange welded on, port the intake, I had Extrude Hone do mine. If you use the 3 3/4" overbore you will have 265cu.in. I had Competition cams do my cam, the stock but new valve springs and shimmed are good for 4000rpm, (that's what mine spins. If you use the stock 3 3/4" pistons you will have to mill 1/8th" off the top. mill all you can off the head. Also it wouldn't hurt to hone those new sleeves to give some extra clearance for the pistons. this setup should be good for 75-80 hp. good luck with your build, Chuck
