John,You are correct that Oliver and Cockshutt signed a marketing agreement in 1935 but all the info available for my ascersions show that Cockshutt and " Hart Parr" had a much earlier agreement begining around 1928, but records only exist to show production of the Cockshutt Hart Parr 18-28 and 28-44 beginning in 1930 up to 1937. I've never heard of the Communist Russsian deal but maybe the increased count of 2585 Cockshutt/Hart Parr 28-44 Machines produced in 1931-1932 would be explained by this sale. Other wise according to serial numbers,Cockshutt/Hart Parr 28-44 production was never greater than 500 units produced in any one year except for 1936 and 1937. As you said before, the Depression years had a great impact on Hart Parr production as it did all Manufacturing in the world. Your opinion, do you think that a portion of that Russian order was filled with Cockshutt/Hart Parr 18-28 machines? Or was the Russian order filled with Hart Parr machines with Cockshutt having nothing to do with it? JH
