My spare trans housing is just sitting behind the barn reminding me how out of round the Sherman hole is..... I figure if i'm going to drill one hole (assuming I decide to split it), why not do two more for a brake cross-shaft?
If interested I have drawings for a conversion that does not require drilling the housings. The brake crossshaft runs under the transmssion in a support tube.I was going to make them for sale but decided the liabilty issue was too great. It's a knockoff of the brake setup on my Kubby which works extremely reliably and should adapt to the N's quite nicely. Easy to build and would give you a lot more leverage than the original "vertical stomp" geometry. No more standing in the stirrups while pulling on the wheel!!!
