I put the tube of grease into the gun OPPOSITE of what the instructions say to do. Take the plastic cap off and insert that end into the cartridge towards the piston. Now pop off the sealed end and screw on the cap with the hose. When you pull off the sealed end of the tube there is a small "flange" of aluminum left protruding into the grease tube and the piston will not go past it. If you put the tube in the other way there is no flange on the end of the tube where the plastic cap was.
