Last winter the engine on our 8N was rebuilt with a lot of excellent help from this site. The compression test gave good numbers both dry and wet. Very little difference between the two. It burned about a quart an hour. I think my dry test was really also a wet test. When the engine was taken down, number 1 oil control ring was broke and also a section was missing on oil control ring 4. After rebuild, the oil burning, smoke etc went away. Hoper this helps. Thanks
