Fuddy Duddy........yes, wheelbase is generally considered to be front axle centerline to rear axle centerline. Since the 8N's tractor wheel WIDTH is adjustable, it varies from 42" to 76". Most common is 56". Generally, front width is set to rear width, but not always. Plowing is different. Remember, back-hoes have "out-riggers" that can stick outside the trailer bed iff'n yer not careful. I bought a 16-ft flatbed trailer and have no problems with my EXTRA-WIDE 16.9x24 rear tires. ........Dell
