jajpkj.........it takes a little bit of GEOMETRY to visualize how lengthening the top-link will cause the blade to "curl" more to pick-up more dirt. Howsomevers, more WEIGHT on the blade is even more successful. The "flush" handle under under yer right kneezie is UP for position (brush-hogging) and horizontal for draught (plowing) control. The draft control was very sophisticated for 1939. When the BIG SPRING under yer butt-buckett was compressed by HARD DIRT, the internal hydraulics would "lift" the plow a little bit and reduce the inherent DRAG of the plow moving thru the dirt. Otherwize yer ag-bar tires would spin-out and loose traction. Me? I'd try yer flush handle both ways and see what pleases me the most. ........plowman Dell
