Make sure you have a good ground thru the mounting surface to the block. Sand it so there is metal to metal and no rust or paint. That is where the grounding point is. You can jump the starter with a battery and cables ( Make sure it is out of gear) by touching one jumper to the big stud on the top front of the starter and ground the other cable to the frame. Make sure it is out of gear.. It should turn the starter. Make sure it is out of gear. It can run over you!! Don't ask me how I know. Good luck. DON TX
