Can see merit in Duner's idea of lifting one wheel only.
I would try lifting the right wheel, this way if you are using the right brake to creep forward or move of (as you simultaneously lower wheel back to deck, with a Zane Thang of course) , left foot is available for the clutch should you need to quickly to bring the whole show to a stop.
Also wonder if flat skid/s would suffice in lieu of wheel/s as you want to stop anyway and might stop Tractor speeding up if heading down hill etc.
Marks or damage to paddock should minimal.
Two skids might need keels to stop side ways slip.
