I was planning on doing the ATF or MMO deal where you put some of the above into the cylinders for a day or so to assist in freeing up piston rings and was also thinking about my next project which is to do a carb rebuild on my old International harvester S120 (1956) - I have used that carb cleaning product by Berrymans which comes in a large can into which you dunk the carb - after about an hour or so it comes out with a lot of residue gone - I was thinking - wouldnt this stuff be the best thing to use to free up rings? It would also probably get rid of any carbon around the valves as well? You could put some in, let it sit then turn engine over (with igniton off) to clear it out then add some other oil to the cylinder to provide lubrication - as this stuff leaves metal pretty clean and dry afterwards. You would, of course have to put in fresh oil afterwards as I have no idea what this stuff would do to bearings etc.
