First I would like to thank Kelly Jewel for teaching me how to break my clutch free on my 9n. Thanks Kelly, worked like a charm. Okay, now for the next techie question. I have the opportunity to purchase a 8n with a sherman transmission. However, after reading Mr. Smiths 8n pages on Sherman transmissions,I am confused. First I thought there was only one Sherman tranny. Okay, now I know there are at least a couple types. I now (thing)I know that the one with a long shifter is a hi/lo configuration. The one with a short shifter is a whole other set of running gears ( I think) Then I learn that there's a "Cable Type" Of shifter also. Okay, so the question is this. How do I know what I am buying if it has the cable shifter? Does that denote a type of Sherman? Thanks guys/girls. RFR
