I use this set up and werks fer me. I have never used a tail wheel or counters. The share does need to be in good condition either replace with a new one or weld a new tip on the old one. I replaced mine with a CASE # Well i kin not find the # now I will look fer it. On new ground it will help if you run a chissel/field cultivator over it a few times first. on ground that i plant on every year I have not had enny problems once I git my draft set rite. i have run into farmers older than dirt and tell'em they have theirs set wrong and kin not beleive the difference in the way the plow werks after I set it up fer'em. Untill I read Zanes set up I had to fight'em to.
