I about went nuts working on a 2N I used to have. The starter clutch self destructed but removal was no problem. The starter shaft had gotten bent when the bendix bit the dust so I bought a new starter complete with bendix. That sucker would not go in over the flywheel. I ground out some more space on the bell housing. I tried standing on one foot holding my mouth several different ways. I switched to the other foot and repeated the process. I made loud comments regarding its ancestry and used words I didn't know that I knew. I finally found another style of bendix and it slipped right in. Good Luck, Lee
