Claus, What a wealth of knowledge you have. Thank you so very much. I took off the voltage regulator. It appears to have carbon on the thick wires, so I am going to get another regulator. Also the points were looking bad. I was told that I needed to polarize it again when I install the new one. How do I go about doing this? Again, thank you very much and I will be looking forward to your reply. Ivan
