Alan, thanks for your reply, well..... all you guys! You are right, there is red paint below the green and there is prairie gold under the yellow on the wheels. I had a friend that was going to haul this plow to the scrap yard, I figured it was worth saving. If you havent noticed by my handle I'm a JD guy........ friend shot me a cell phone pict. and said come and get this John Deere plow. It was raining and we were in a hurry, and from first glance it does look a lot like a #555 JD plow. Then the wife says, I'm seeing some red under the paint honey???? Well since it was on the trailer and I had paid the guy I said I wasnt going to unload it and let it go to the scrap yard. Its for sale if anybody wants it. I attached the only photo of the numbers that I could find on it. jdadoug
