If memory serves me, someone correct me if im wrong, the early 800 jugs are cast heaver than most on the top. I think you could set the jugs up in a milling machine and drill and tap the missing holes. I also beleve that you are corect on the later heads and a rossa pump (dont for get to get the lines). I feel what you need to do is find a G1000 and rob the upper end. I think the gas pistons should work as long as you dont get carried away with the fuel and timming.If Im wrong I stand corrected.
