Does your tractor have the metal canister oil filter cover or a spin on filter?
If you have the canister oil filter: Check canister body to be sure it's not been over tighten in the past, the canister could have been bent out of shape. No burrs on the bolt or canister edges.
Did you buy a filter from a MF dealer or after market. The gaskets might be of better quality with MF oil filter.
I would take the canister apart and clean all mating surfaces with some type carb cleaner or other material that will insure all surfaces are clean.
Does your canister still have the washer and spring inside, this spring insures the oil filter is pressed against motor block.
If all else fails you might try, buying a second oil filter and using the gaskets from the second oil filter along with your current new gaskets. If you have bent or deformed metal surfaces, two gaskets might fill in the gaps. However, I am not high on this fix, you need to find out why the proper oil canister will not seal off. The canister should seal properly, any leak in this area could cause you to lose your oil and ruin you motor.
Let us know what the problem was.
My to35 has leaked before when I changed the oil, normally I just loosen the oil filter bolt, turn the canister around some, move it a little, then tighten and it seals off.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
