I am not sure what the #5 H is. Is that one with hydraulic lift? I have and have had severl #5 mowers, I didn't think there was any difference in the way the grass board bolts on. On both my #5 and #8 it has one hole and bolts to the outer shoe. There is a heavy spring on the bolt to keep it from flopping around but allow it to move some. I had a regular all wood grass board on it to start with. Had a metal piece to keep the bottom from wearing and a metal piece where bolt went through to attach to mower. Still have it but have reinforces it some as I use the mower and over time the old one gave out. I have seen them with metal grass boards but not really sure the metal ones were made by deere.
