#5 mower wooden grass board value

I have a #5h and a #5. I plan to replace the knife, make 1 out of 2 and have parts for later. The "h" has no grass board and the other has a metal one. Can anybody date them for me and tell me how to know if a wooden board would attach or not. It looks as though it would not because of the hole patterns. The parts list I have is incomplete and shows only a wooden board.
