ok I'm still working on the old tractor trying to get it to go. I changed the fuel filters and now I can't get it started. Before I changed the fuel filters I could get it to start but would only run at wide open throttle for short period of time. So I guess my question is do I not have all the air out or should I be trying something else? Is there a way to check the fuel transfer pump? I pull it around for about 200 yards and it'll smoke for the first 100 but not start and when I stop pulling it it seems like there is a little air in the fuel filters again. So I took the transfer pump off and the gov. shaft on it turns so I took the plate off the transfer/lift pump and I don't know how tight the gears in there are suppose to run but they seem loose to me. Are there any specs for the pump if the engine isn't running? and is there any rebuld kits out there for them? Also my book says something about a third bleeder and I can't find but the two on the filters so where is the other one or is it possible for it not to have it? sorry if i'm a little scatter brained writing this and I hope this makes sense, I've fried my mind thinking on it.

As far as I was aware a fordson was a fordson and it was only through trial an
