I just finished within the last two weeks turning a G governor shaft assembly into an A governor shaft assembly. So everything is still fresh in my mind. I had an unservicable A1172R shaft with a long lug mag-coupler on it to look at. I am pretty sure that the shaft was peened over. Captivating the coupler on the shaft. The G shaft however was not. I think the B is different as the governor weights are on the driven gear, Separate from the fan drive. At any rate. The gears and bearings are quite a fit on the shaft, As the shaft measured around .7517 and the gears are .75ish. I used a large arbor press and a propane torch for help. I never removed either mag coupler and i put a new bearing on the mag end.
