Ray, our old "B" was bored 3/16" in 1960 and Allied pistons installed.. They have no "Bottom Ring" and I can tell you that , since I ues the pet cocks a lot, it does slobber when running with them open, but it is still as good as ever.. If you decide to place the oil ring in the last groove above the pin and it uses 1/4" wide compression rings, use 2- 1/8" compression rings in all but the top ring groove..they will seal better than a 1/4" ring and you can stagger the gaps for an even Better seal..!
