Thank you Bob. If anyone has one of these style filter mounts please let me know.
Also, there is an auxiliary hydraulic tank that mounts just beside the seat for a JD 1010. It is a discontinued item so if anyone has one of these.
Lastly, there is an exhaust manifold that exits down instead of up on the 1010 Orchard model. It is discontinued and I would like to find one.
This has been a great tractor. One thing to mention. I bought the tractor 15 years ago in boxes. The head looked like it hadn't any oil. I rebuilt it and put a new oil pump in. When I put it back together the valves sounded like they needed further adjustment. About 20 hours later the head burned up again. Upon tearing the motor apart, expecting to find a clogged oil passage, I found that JD did not drill out the casting where oil from the rear of the last cam bearing goes then back into the block and up to the head. I drilled this and it has lots of oil now. The speedometer said 800 hours so, I suspect this had been giving the previous owner(s) trouble ever since 1962. Now it not only runs like a deere but after 45 years, it sounds like one too!
