I have had 5 of those B"s and don"t recall a serial # elsewhere. Personally I don"t understand the fixation with the serial #"s. Barring the fact that the tractor is stolen, or someone using a serial # for fraudulant reasons I can"t understand why a good tag cannot be placed on the case as long as it goes with the series of the tractor. All these old tractors are generally not the same tractor from the factory anyway. With all the parts shuffled and replaced with use, new factory, after factory everything is different. A serial plate is helpful for identification but that"s about it. Tractors aren"t registered anyway and they are strictly personal property.
