A friend told me yesterday that the thing to do is call a Deere dealer. They will get a new tag made & install it that way it is recorded in the archives. There will be less questions that's it is the right number for the tractor. I bought a 43GM hand start & 34 D yesterday & the GM tag is steel I can't read the numbers but my son's can I haven't decided wheather to get a new tag or not
