Thanks for your advice. Sounds like the two-piece pedestal, et al., is getting deeper than I care to go at this time... The unit that is there works fine but the right-side, home-brew installation is not going to look presentable with the tractor spruced up. There is a good sized JD boneyard about 60 miles from here so I think I'll follow up with your other suggestion and see if I can find some parts more like the original conversion installation. Thanks again... Ed
