Jim, you have conflicting adjustments you are making on that carb. By running with the choke 1/2 on you then need to lean the load needle out to 3/4 turn.
~Try the load needle out about 1-1/2 to 2 turns & no choke. If that helps you are good, if it still won't run you have still have a carb problem or real weak ignition.
~Start with a spark test..Take an old [known good] spark plug & open the plug gap to 3/16”, then install in one plug wire at a time & lay on the block, then crank the engine & look for a bluish spark to jump that gap MULTIPLE TIMES in a row. If you don’t get a bluish spark to jump that gap multiple times in a row you have a weak spark [post back with mag type & we’ll talk you through a mag troubleshooting sequence].
~If you are getting a good spark, then off the carb comes again as you missed a passage or transfer hole in the carb. If your problem is still in the carb E-Mail me & I will send you a carb breakdown showing you ALL the holes & passages that need cleaning for proper carb function. Most books & on line pictures don’t show all the carb transfer holes in those DLTX carbs..
