Dad still has his "hay kicker" too. I used it a good bit as a kid and that wasn't too long ago (80's). BE PATIENT!!! They were designed for horse speed. You'll throw it apart if you go normal tractor speeds. And keep an eye on the springs. They get brittle if it sat out much. We know use an old NI side-delivery rake/tedder. It has a reverse gear and pitchable teeth to turn the rake into a tedder. Can drive a little faster with this, but the "kicker" lifted the hay better.
