I'm rennovating an old running gear and don't understand how to replace the grease seals on the spindles. The actual grease seal is some kind of a fabric that has become stiff with old grease. I redid a gear a couple of years ago that used felt as a seal but this doesn't look or feel like felt. It looks like the fabric needs to be dug from between the two steel sides and replaced with something. But what? Please help me if you can. Thanks.
