Pknapp, After you loosen the nut run the shredder in tall heavy weeds that will usually break it loose. But since it is already not budging you may have to Disassemble the Slip-Clutch unit and free it all up, But Chances-Are you will destroy the fiber disk and need new ones then! ***** Note ***** next Fall, Loosen the nut 2 to 4 turns before you put it up for the Winter. Also get and old Wash tub and turn it upside down over the Gearbox for the winter season. Come spring service the shredder and push it just hard enough to slip the clutch a little then tighten back the 2 to 6 turns you took off the previous fall and you are good to go for the summer! Simple slip-clutch maintence! Hope this helps! Later, John A. Works on any shredder!
