You can run and bale with about any small square baler of any age, but you might not use its full capacity. On older balers the baler will probably be what limits your baling speed. If you get a newer baler, the power you have will limit your baling speed. On our new balers we could bale with 30hp, but you bale as slow as old balers go. If we put a 50 hp tractor on we gain some speed, but its still limited by tractor power. On the balers with 90 hp tractors we"re once again limited by baler capacity. David
