I have my Cub Cadet mod. 86, basket case back together and this morning I mowed some tall grass with it and it worked fine. However the PTO clutch wouldn't disengage when I finished and went to disengage the deck. It seems one of the clutch release fingers slipped out of the groove. When I put it back in all was fine. Does anyone know why this happens. This is the second time it did it. I thought when I took the clutch apart and adjusted it I had cured the problem but I guess not. Does the center button wear and let itself move off center? It seems like this could be it.
