That is odd, because the transmissions in the L110 is half the transmission that the 266 toro used. But, if htat is what they told you, they know more about their product than I do, but it just seems odd they would tell you that when the L110 is a light lawn tractor and the 266 is a heavier Lawn & Garden tractor you can put a blade and a tiller on.

JT, you're half right....
Yes, the L110 is a lighter duty trans than the K61 - But it's not a K62. It's either a K46 or a T40 depending on the Serial Number. The LX series Deere's used the K62, which is likely mostly the same as a K61. I would make sure the fixed swashplate on the motor is in the same orientation from 61-62 though. Otherwise the forward/reverse pedals would be reverse/forward pedals.
