Hi all.. I just purchased what I believe is a 1969 Sears Hydro-trac 12 at a yardsale this past weekend. So far the ID has been by pictures I have seen online. I have a couple of questions, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it! First, does anyone know where I can find the Model number on the tractor? The only number I saw is on the engine, and it started with 143 - not 917 like I see online for all the Hydro-tracs.. It has no battery currently. Is the electrical system 12 volt or 6 volt. And pos or neg ground? Also, near the seat, there is a push/pull lever that goes into the hydrostatic tranny. My guess is that it is either a hydro-release (neutral), or a differential lock. Any idea? And finally, I can't seem to find where to check the fluid level in the tranny (although, I haven't looked very hard yet). I know that's quite a list, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Joel
