$2000. seems awful high to rebuild the engine; but then, I don't know what all needs done either. In my opinion you would be better geting a new one as you would at least have factory warranty - otherwise you are depending on the dealer to back up rebuild. Really sound to me like they don't really want the rebuild job so they just gave you a high estimate. May also want to check around some other shops for price - just remember, sometimes you get what you pay for. Hope this helps.
