I have a 185 Hydro. I personally do not do much maintenance on the hydro. When you take the filler cap off, there is a screen(filter) 5 1/2" below the top and if you can see the screen, then you need to add hydro fluid. I use non detergent SAE 30 motor oil. I suppose it is a good idea to make sure the fan is cooling the hydro parts and has no broken fins.
I just looked up your hydro pump and it appears to be the exact same one mine has. We have the Eaton pump which is low end. The Sauer Sundstrand pump seems to be more durable.
Don't force it from forward to reverse real fast. Give the actuators a few seconds to stop before going in the opposite direction. Don't let the pump run dry. Use the release knob when pushing it by hand.
