Yes the 425 has an ignitor on it, but for the $400 it costs let's start elsewhere. The most common no spark issue on these kawasaki engines is the"time delay module". A small box that controls both spark and fuel if you come off the seat. This is located at the left rear corner of the engine. Either a 2 by 2 box or a round cylinder shape. It has 5 wires in it. Red wire to hot post on starter. Black wire to ground. Orange wire to harness connector. Short yellow wire female to single yellow connection. Long yellow write male to double wire connector. The only test for these is to replace with a known good unit. They are only about $20 or so from mother Deere. Go get one and install. Problem solved. Tim
