I have a 66 Ford 3000 diesel and just changed all fluids (crankcase, transmission, rear end). I ran the tractor for a couple hours and when I parked it, I had a pretty good drip coming from the area around the back of the oil pan. I can't tell if its the oil pan gasket or the joint between the engine and transmission. The leak lasts a couple minutes after shutdown then stops. Any ideas? I don't know why it would be the oil pan gasket all of a sudden, but if it is, can I just tighten the bolts in that area (within reason) or should I stick to torque specs? What are the torque specs for the oil pan?
