I have a Ford 2000 3 cylinder gas that has a knock in the engine? Sounds like a rod knocking, I dropped the pan and plastigaged the Rod bearings and the front 3 mains. All of them are within spec. I pushed the pistons back up into the sheaves to see if there was any slop there nothing. I am at wits end on the engine. From doing the screwdriver sound test while the engine was running its from the rear part of the engine. Could it be the Oil pump? Hydraulic pump? It only knocks when it is trying to make power. Any change in PRM or taking off, or driving through the brakes it knocks. PLEASE HELP. How much slop should the drive for the oil pump have when the oil pump in removed?? Can I remove the rear main without messing up the rear main seal?? Thanks...

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
