I have done both - reused the oil pump and replaced it with a new one. Ford used to sell a rebuild kit for those pumps. Maybe CNH still does. Don't know how a kit compares with a whole new aftermarket pump. Aftermarket pump can be had for under a C note. You could just assemble the engine and add a temporary oil pressure gauge and check the pressure. Should read around 60-70 lbs. I'm not sure what you are asking about the pistons. If you are wanting to rering the 3600 pistons and install them into the 3000 block then I would say it depends on how worn they are. Mic them up and go from there. All internals from both engines will interchange so no problems there. I wouldn't worry about reusing them. Ask a local clutch rebuilder about cost. If the pto clutch is slipping then a new disc is in order but those require about a $100 disc and the setup jig to install it. A complete new double clutch with both new discs, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing and plastic alignment tool can be had from this site for about $450. You will need your spline count to order one.

Some of them only bring their noses down out of the air long enough to look down them anyway. If you are like me you are only doing this old tractor stuff because you enjoy it. You
