is there a way to test the light switch and sending unit while there not in and hooked up. i tried the light switch with a batterie charger and light tester. in certain postions the light tester would light up. does that mean its good or doesnt mean anything. same with the sending unit i hooked up a batterie charger and tested it with the test light wich also lit up. also when i pulled the sending unit out of the tank andshook it out to patch the leak a brass little needle valve kinda looking thing and a small sprin that fits on perfect then a brass washer thing with a rubber ring the a smaller brass washer thing came out of the tank. im pretty sure they go to the sending unit but i have no idea where. i hope i at least make enough sense for someone to know what it is if not let me know i will post pics. also came out of the tank was a accordian part to a funnel a stick and 2 little filter screens for the shut off valve. i assume 1 vibrated off after awhile but where the heck did the second one come from. assuming someone musta switched the shut off at one time maybe.
