Ok guys and gals. I've got:
1- Ford 2000 diesel tractor (8 speed trans) - loads of hours, no power steering, non locking differential, bad steering sector, worn hydraulic pump. 1- Ford 2600 gas tractor (6 speed trans) with power steering, locking differential, has low hours ~1000 hours - has a bad clutch, seized engine.
I want to make one complete tractor.
Does anyone know where i could translate/decode the transmission, rear axle, hyd. pump, & lift numbers located under the hood?
If it were to have the same ratio in the rear axle, i would like to swap the diesel engine and 8 speed trans from the 2000 onto the 2600 axles.
The rear axle codes are different from one another, but there is a large gap in date of manufacture and one axle is of locking type.
