I ve got a Ford 5000 tractor that I believe was man. in England in 1966.My problem is finding the correct manuels fot it,because I cann t quite ID the tractor correctly. The numbers are listed on the right side behind the starter and are as follows- 6C23C - D146 - B040772. The mane problem I think is the model code. The D would indicate a 4000, but it isn t.The 1 is diesel, and it is.The 4 indicates independent 540, and it is. What is the 6? The first set of # s I think means produced 1966,March 23, afternoon shift. And the last set means made in Basildon England.Could anyone help with ID or manuels? A helpful hint is the headlights are on the outside of the hood at the top left and right sides. Thankyou fore any help.
